What a great place. A gem in the north woods. Everything was as promised and then some. Peaceful and restful. Made our visit to our Granddaughter a joy, even though it was 25 below zero.

What an absolutely wonderful place to stay. The setting and guest home are so very peaceful and beautiful. The grounds are gorgeous, the hosts so very pleasant and accommodating. Everything possible has been thought of to make the stay perfect. We're just very sorry we weren't there several days longer. The place is really unusual in so many ways. A truly terrific way station in stunning surroundings.

We were immediately impressed the minute we drove up to the cottage and even more so when we went inside. Such a beautiful place!! Love the rustic decor and it is so cozy. The setting also cannot be beat as it is so peaceful to listen to the babbling river at all times. It was just what my husband needed for relaxing getaway. I have found many places on internet searches but this one by far has been the best and one we plan to return to. The whole area with fishing and waterfalls is also a huge plus for us!! Thank you for keeping this place an affordable getaway and for being such gracious hosts!!

We make a few visits to the North Country each year and have a few places where we normally stay. After an internet search, we decided to take a chance on The Guest House in January 2010. We are very glad we did. The private guest house accommodations were wonderful. Everything was new, clean, well appointed, and the fridge was well stocked for our two day visit and was included in the already very attractive price.
Marcia and Ron are great hosts and we took advantage of getting a massage during our stay by their daughter who is a licensed masseuse.
While the location is off the "beaten path", that adds to the charm of The Guest House. There are horses to look at on the beautiful grounds and the quietness was just what the doctor ordered.
Make a visit, we plan to again, you won't be disappointed.

My son is a student at SUNY Canton and I accidently found Marica's and Ronnie's site and all I can say is "I'm so grateful to google". I cannot begin to describe the overall beauty of the cottage and the river, but after meeting Marcia in person it describes who she is. I absolutely felt at home and cannot wait to return.

We are parents of a St. Lawrence college student, and had to drive to Canton, but our stay at the Guest House was well worth the little extra to get there. Immediately welcoming by white lights seen from the road, our cottage was quaint and private. The room was spacious with two double beds, a large deck and sunroom where we enjoyed our coffee and reading the paper. We would definitely recommend a weekend stay here.
